All In: A Stay Well NYC Pledge For Safety During Coronavirus

As the coronavirus continues to change the way we live, work, and shop, you can rest assured that Brookfield is holding itself to the highest safety standards. We’ve pledged to “Stay Well NYC,” a promise that we will follow mandated CDC guidelines and keep our community safe and healthy. Brookfield encourages social distancing, and masks are required for both staff and visitors. Surfaces like escalator handrails are consistently UV-sterilized. Where to Get Fresh Air in NYC

As we settle in for a long winter, it’s easy to feel like the four walls of your apartment are the only thing left in the world. But even as you continue to social distance, a walk along BFPL’s Hudson River waterfront will do you good. Pick up some Chop’t or a Black Seed bagel at Hudson Eats and breathe some of that chill air in through your mask. It’s going to be okay.

Safe, Distant Performances for Everyone

Studio BFPL will continue throughout the holiday season! You’ll be able to continue to see intimate, live musical performances entirely socially distanced within our indoor spaces. Up to six people who have traveled together can participate, or, if you’d rather check in from home, 

New York Theatre ballet dancers will perform vignettes from The Nutcracker throughout Brookfield Place. New videos are posted every Wednesday at noon!

Keeping You Safe

Masks are required throughout BFPL, and we encourage our guests to maintain social distancing by keeping six feet between them and their fellow shoppers. We’re offering curbside, contactless pickup at participating shops. We’ve also limited our elevators to four visitors at a time, and our escalator handrails are UV-sterilized – so you should have no qualms about getting around a little bit quicker! You can even access COVID testing onsite, with our Carbon Health location.

Even if things look a little different, everything that makes you love Brookfield Place — all the things that make you love New York — are still there waiting for you to experience them. 

Brookfield Place is a perfect destination for a New York City weekend. Get your shopping done for the whole family in safety at stores like J. Crew for Mom and Dad or Babesta for the little ones, go to Hudson Eats for indoor dining, stop by Clean Market to get your wellness fix, and go see the Statue of Liberty when you visit the Waterfront for some fresh air. Or, meet up with friends a little later for a drink before the weather turns. Everything you’ve come to expect from Brookfield Place is now open and waiting for you.

Make sure you come prepared with a mask! They’re required throughout BFPL, including in the individual shops. But, if you need a little fresh air you can still head out to the Waterfront at BFPL while the weather is still warm. Plus, you can bring some of your favorite foods from Hudson Eats for a picnic by the water.

Don’t forget to stay alert while you’re shopping! Remember to maintain social distancing and give everyone around you six feet of space. To help with this, follow the correct flow of traffic. But don’t worry, the escalator handrails are UV sterilized. You can and should still hold onto them to keep you safe. So, if you’re on your way from New Stand to Peloton to check out the latest bikes and treadmills located next to P.J. Clarke’s on the first floor, you don’t have to worry about avoiding the escalators. Or the elevators! The elevators are limited to four visitors at a time but they’re still running.

And while there are some small changes throughout Brookfield Place to keep you safe, you can still expect the same place you know and love.
